Preferred by Nature is an international mission-driven non-profit organization working to support sustainable land use and responsible supply chains that benefit people, nature, and climate in more than 100 countries.
As part of this work, Preferred by Nature developed the Sustainable Travel Programme (STP), dedicated to supporting accommodations, tour operators, and destination management companies in strengthening their sustainability practices. Through the Standard for Sustainable Travel Activities for Accommodations and Tour Operators, aligned with the Preferred by Nature Sustainability Framework, the programme helps tourism businesses improve and communicate their environmental, social, and economic performance.
